IV Infusion via IV Push

Informed patient that IV infusion will be started. Wiped PIV tip with alcohol for 15 seconds, and flushed line with 5 ml normal saline. Connected IV medication and infused using slow push over 3-5 minutes. Disconnected empty medication syringe and flushed line with 5 ml normal saline. Patient tolerated infusion well without complaints of any discomfort or untoward reaction.
