Taught patient/caregiver that if you think your wound is infected or if you have any of the following symptoms, call the SN right away: • You have a fever. • Your wound is sore, red or swollen. • Your skin itches or you have a rash. • The area in or around the wound feels very warm. • You have pus or a bad smell is coming from the wound.
